SAGINAW, MI -Burt Watson Chevrolet in Freeland and Burt Watson Chevrolet Buick in Reese are now offering by-appointment free interior car sanitation.
Marketing Manager Jacob Moody said this a new service for the Burt Watson dealerships. They recently began offering the service to their current customers but decided to expand the program to the general public amid the coronavirus outbreak.
"We do understand there are a lot of people out there who like cleanliness and are deeply affected by the coronavirus," he said. "So, we wanted to offer this as a way to help people stay healthy and get their car clean without having to worry about the financial impact of doing that."
Moody said the sanitation process takes around 10 to 15 minutes total and involves spraying a disinfectant inside the car. Just as a car wash will clean the exterior of a vehicle, the service Burt Watson is offering helps sanitize the inside of a car.
"It's a commercial-grade disinfectant," Moody said. "We spray the entire vehicle down, and it has to sit for about 10 minutes before anyone can reenter the vehicle."
Burt Watson dealerships will offer the service for as long as they have the supplies to do so.
"We can still order supplies right now, but you never know when supplies are going to run out," Moody said. "As long as we can still order it, we will be offering this service to the community."
The dealerships will also offer service financing to those in need of assistance. They will work with anyone who gets their vehicle serviced at a Burt Watson dealership to create a payment plan that works for them, Moody said.
"Most places do not offer that, but we know there are people who have been affected financially by the coronavirus," he said. "We're offering that as another safe haven so they don't have to worry about their vehicles breaking down on the side of the road or finding the cash to pay for repairs."
To schedule a cleaning or ask about service financing, call Burt Watson Chevrolet Freeland at 989-695-5366 or Burt Watson Chevrolet Buick Reese at 989-796-4146. Freeland is accepting appointments for Tuesday through Thursday, and Reese is accepting appointments Monday through Friday.
